Pre-school

Pre-primary schooling (kleuteronderwijs , ensignement maternel, kindergarten) is for every child from age 2 years and 6 months. The aim of pre-school is to develop the children's cognitive, communicative and creative skills in a playful way. There are no formal lessons or assessments and everything is taught through a form of play.

Eventhough this is not compulsory, 90% of the Belgian children in this age category attend pre-school. Ahmadi parents are strongly advised to let their children attend pre-school which will improve their children's basic skills.
